Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant Program is a competency-based program which provides students with skills necessary to be able to work in a medical office or medical group. Students will become familiar with Medical Front Office and Medical Back Office procedures. The program includes instructions on medical and surgical asepsis, physical exam of the patient, electrocardiography, and administration of medicine, nutrition, vital signs, and medical terminology. Students will also get training on the National Certification Exam.

  • Computer Essentials 84 hours
  • Administration of Medication 132 hours
  • Back Office Procedures 132 hours
  • Laboratory Procedures 132 hours
  • Electronic Health Records 84 hours
  • Externship 160 hours
  • Total Hours 808

Morning, afternoon and evening classes available.

Certifications Available:

NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

NHA Certified Medical Assistant Administrative (CMAA)

NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-1)
