Dental Assistant
The Dental Assistant program trains individuals in a broad range of clinical and administrative skills such as preparing patients for dental exams and treatments, performing radiographic procedures, scheduling and appointment procedures, maintenance of dental records, performing basic front office skills, professional communication and public relations skills. Dental Assistants typically work chair side with dentists as they treat patients. Students pay by the module. $692 per module plus $150 Background check and drug screening divided into 6 modules, or $25 additional a module. Required textbooks (3) Uniforms and Scrub Jacket, certification and licensure fees are NOT included.
The median wage is $21.83 an hour statewide.
